In the Netherlands, data from Earth observation satellites is widely used. By inspectorates tracking down violations. By companies developing satellite applications for precision agriculture or drought monitoring. And by scientists doing climate research.

In the GEO Netherlands community these parties come together: government bodies, companies, knowledge institutions, sector organisations and everyone who works with Earth observation data or wants to start doing so. Participants share knowledge, show what is possible with satellite data and find each other for new collaborations. This increases the use of Earth observation in the Netherlands, and with it the societal and economic value it delivers.

End users come first. The question is always: how can they successfully make use of Earth observation data? The Netherlands Space Agency facilitates the community and enables connection, knowledge sharing and support.
