GEO Netherlands
In the Netherlands, data from earth observation satellites is used extensively. By inspection services detecting irregularities. By companies developing satellite applications for precision agriculture or drought monitoring. And by scientists conducting climate research.
Despite these successes, the earth observation sector in the Netherlands is not always clearly visible and interconnected. With GEO Netherlands, we aim to make the opportunities of earth observation more visible in Dutch policy and to identify new opportunities.
GEO Netherlands connects governments, research institutions, companies, and other organizations that use earth observation data to address societal challenges. The network aligns with international programs, such as GEO , EuroGEO , Copernicus , Horizon Europe en Destination Earth .
“If we work together in the Netherlands, we have a better chance of acquiring large, international tenders for earth observation.”
– Kees van Duijvendijk, Netherlands Space Agency
With updates, events, and activities, GEO Netherlands is building a growing community of governments, knowledge institutions, companies, and others who (want to) work with Earth observation data.
