Principal investigator support
The Principal Investigator (PI) is the leader of a space mission, experiment, or instrument. Those in this role ensure that the mission’s objectives are achieved. It’s a visible, responsible, and influential position, and the Netherlands is eager to fill it if the opportunity arises.
The call for PI support falls under the Partnerships for Space Instruments & Applications Preparatory Programme (PIPP). This program enables researchers in the Netherlands to better fulfill their PI role for a space mission, experiment, or instrument. This funding aligns with one of the priorities of Dutch space policy: strengthening the development and use of space instruments.
