DIAS
Als onderdeel van het Europese DIAS initiatief bieden de Creodias, Mundi en Onda platformen gebruikers toegang tot zowel open Copernicus data als commerciële data. Gericht op onderzoekers, commerciële partijen en overheden bieden deze platformen de mogelijkheid data te bekijken, downloaden, opslaan of direct via specifieke services te analyseren en verwerken.
De data kunnen ontdekt en bekeken worden in viewers. Vervolgens kan de data direct in de viewer worden gedownload. Hiernaast is het ook mogelijk toegang te krijgen tot de data door middel van een API.
Het analyseren van data wordt mogelijk gemaakt door platform specifieke cloud resources. Elk platform biedt een omgeving aan waar data kan worden geanalyseerd met behulp van tools zoals: Jupyter Notebooks, open-source tools zoals “Orfeo Tool Box” en “ESA SNAP”, of op toegewijde virtuele machines. De virtuele machines zijn schaalbaar wat betreft CPU-cores, RAM en data-opslag, echter moet hier wel betaald voor worden. In het Copernicus DataSpace Ecosystem is een deel van de DIAS functionaliteiten geïntegreerd.
